Temporal and spectral study of PKS 0208?512 during the 2019–2020 flare

We present the temporal and spectral study of blazar PKS 0208-512, using recent flaring activity from November 2019 to May 2020, as detected by Fermi-LAT observatory. The contemporaneous X-ray, optical/UV observations Swift-XRT/UVOT are also used. During state, 2-days binned ${\gamma}$-ray lightcurve shows multiple peaks indicating sub-flares. To understand possible physical mechanisms behind flux enhancement, we divided state source into several flux-states carried out detailed studies. Timing analysis lightcurves suggest that sub-flares have rise decay time on order days, with flux-doubling $\sim$ 2-days. double-lognormal distribution. broadband spectral-energy-distribution (SED) for three selected states can be well fitted under synchrotron, synchrotron self-Compton (SSC) external-Compton (EC) emission mechanisms. obtained parameters jet SED modeling their confidence intervals through ${\chi}^2$-statistics. Our results during quiescent-state, spectrum explained considering EC-scattering infra-red (IR) photons dusty-torus. However, spectra corresponding flares demand additional target broad-line-region (BLR) along IR. These flares, emission-region is close edge BLR, while quiescent-state away BLR. best fit marginal increase in magnetic-field flaring-episode result enhancement. This possibly associated efficiency particle acceleration flaring-states compared quiescent-state.
